Chroma – Detox Switzerland – Detox Europe was a public performance offered as a workshop for the residents of of Neu-Oerlikon during the international 9. Performance Reihe Neu – Oerikon 2018. The program included a three day playful relaxation – movements – and writing – workshop inspired by the subjects around inclusion in regards to migrant life and specifically Roma living in Swiss society. The movement exercises and patterns as well as texts were to be performed on the day of the event. On the performance day we worked with the band Romani Zor (Serbia) and Parvez Imam, Performance Artist from India, based in Switzerland. We invited our audience to freely participate in creating a fluid social sculpture, transforming by the inspired words by spoken words and musical repetitive patterns. The 9. Performance – Reihe Neu – Oerlikon was curated by Maricruz Peñaloza.

CHROMA – suddenpresences was an intervention into urbanity in the city center of Berlin. RJSaK was bringing their Swiss Roma Community experience into the European context. We were accompanied by Andela, our intern from US, who took photographs while we were passing trough the city. Andela Roncevic (Croatia), student at the College of the Atlantic, Bar Harbor, Maine, USA was documenting our journeys from mid – March till mid – June 2018.  We are gratefull for her collaboration.
